CLIENT: Waze
PROJECT: Explainer Video
Bringing Clarity (and a Smile) to Waze Advertising
As Waze continued to expand its platform beyond drivers and into the world of location-based advertising, they needed a way to educate their business partners in a format that was just as engaging and brand-aligned as the app itself. To do that, they created a short, animated tutorial designed to explain how Waze ads work — and how advertisers could use the platform to connect with on-the-go consumers. For a video like that, the visuals and the message are important — but the voiceover is what pulls it all together.
B.A. Audio Branding was chosen to provide the voice for the project, bringing an energy that was equal parts helpful, friendly, and clear. The tone had to feel approachable and casual — never salesy, never stiff — while still carrying the authority of a brand that operates at the intersection of tech, data, and real-world navigation. It also had to keep pace with the fun, bouncy background music and the bright, optimistic animation.
The final product was exactly what the Waze team envisioned: a polished, upbeat explainer video that simplified the ad platform in a way that made it accessible and appealing to a broad range of advertisers. From defining ad placements to walking through campaign setup, the narration was designed with the audience in mind — always maintaining the tone, tempo, and clarity needed to keep viewers engaged.
This project is a perfect example of how we approach tutorial and explainer content across the board. At B.A. Audio Branding, we understand that no two explainers are the same — and that the right voice needs to do more than just read clearly. It needs to reflect the brand, respect the audience’s time and intelligence, and carry the energy that makes the information land.
That’s the nuance we bring to every project. Whether it’s a training video, a product walkthrough, or an onboarding series for a Fortune 500 company, we know how to shape the voice so it feels like an extension of your brand — not just an add-on to the visuals.
If your company is creating tutorials, explainers, or product guides, and you want them to actually resonate — let’s connect. We’re ready to help you sound as good as you look.
